Revision: I decided to try and make this into a wedding invite that they could use! I gave up on trying to superimpose - it kept looking cheesy. I used a photoshop texture, the ellipse tool, and the clipping mask tool. Then I dragged in the pictures I wanted. I used the fonts Zapfino and Bodoni. I also used the line tool to separate the texts.
Background: These images are from a photoshoot I just did for my friend's engagements. She told me she wanted a superimposed image so I tried it out and this is what I came up with
Photoshop:
put the walking photo in a layer under the kissing photo
made a mask for the kissing photo and colored black where I wanted the walking photo to show through- then moved and transformed the walking photo to fit
used the sky replacement edit for both images
I took the photos through camera raw to bring up the exposure and contrast
Design:
Color: The colors of her wedding are deep magenta and gold so I tried to choose a sunset that was a pinkish color that could match her invitation.
Alignment: The couple falls on the rule of thirds right line, and the walking photo does as well. I chose to put the walking photo within them as a metaphor for what is in their hearts- cheesy I know.
Repetition: I tried but might've failed at creating a similar sky in both images. I might need to do the sky manually to make it look like more of the same color
Contrast: I chose to put a distant image inside of a closer up image to bring some variety
